It’s a sad day for fans of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and ‘90s television. Floyd Roger Myers Jr., who played the young version of Will Smith in the popular sitcom, has passed away at the age of 42. According to reports, Myers died on October 29, 2025, from a heart attack at his home in Maryland. His mother, Renee Trice, shared that he had suffered three previous heart attacks over the past three years.

Many fans remember Myers from the Season 3 episode “Will Gets Committed,” where he portrayed a young, ambitious Will Smith. That same year, in 1992, Myers also gained recognition for playing young Marlon Jackson in the TV miniseries The Jacksons: An American Dream. His talent shone early, making him one of the memorable child actors of the era.

After stepping away from acting, Myers built a new life for himself. He owned a duct cleaning business in Maryland and co-founded The Fellaship Men’s Group, an organization dedicated to supporting men’s mental health and self-improvement. The group paid tribute to him on Instagram, writing, “RIP to our good brother @rocwonder. Gone but never forgotten. The mission will continue in your honor.”

Just a month before his passing, Myers posted a heartfelt video celebrating his daughter’s 10th birthday, expressing joy and hope for the years ahead. His words reflected his love as a father — “I’m so happy to be your father, can’t wait for the next 10 years.”

Floyd Roger Myers Jr. may have left the spotlight early, but his impact — both on-screen and in life — will be remembered by those who knew him and the fans who grew up watching him.
