A Florida judge has ordered Republican Congressman Cory Mills to have no contact with his ex-girlfriend, Lindsey Langston, who currently holds the title of Miss United States.
According to court documents obtained by CNN affiliate WESH, the order prohibits Mills from going within 500 feet of Langston’s home and workplace. The restriction will remain in effect until January 2026.
Langston filed a police report in July and later sought an injunction for protection against dating violence in August. She accused the Florida congressman of threatening to release private, explicit images and videos following their breakup in February.
During court proceedings, Langston testified that Mills’ communication had caused her “substantial emotional distress.”
Mills has not been charged with any crime related to the allegations. In a statement to CNN earlier this year, he denied all wrongdoing, calling the claims false and misleading.
“I have always conducted myself with integrity, both personally and in service to Florida’s 7th District,” Mills said. “Out of respect for the legal process, I won’t comment further at this time.”
Meanwhile, House Speaker Mike Johnson declined to comment directly when reporters asked about possible ethical concerns or disciplinary action. He said he was unaware of the details but noted that the House Ethics Committee could review the matter “if it warrants that.”
“You’d have to ask Representative Mills about that,” Johnson said. “He’s been a faithful colleague here. I know his work on the Hill, but I don’t know the details of his personal life.”
The situation remains under review, with no new legal actions reported as of now.
