Former President Donald Trump is once again taking aim at Time magazine — this time, not for its reporting, but for his cover photo. The controversy comes just days after Trump helped broker what many are calling a historic peace deal between Israel and Hamas, earning him rare bipartisan praise.

In a post on his Truth Social account early Tuesday, Trump expressed frustration with the magazine’s latest cover image, calling it the “Worst of All Time.” He claimed that the low-angle photo “disappeared” his hair and created what looked like a “tiny crown” above his head. “They wrote a relatively good story about me,” Trump said, “but the picture is really weird!”

The Time cover, part of its upcoming November 10 issue, features a photo of Trump taken from below, with the sun positioned directly behind him. The bright light blends with his hair and the magazine’s white logo, giving the photo an unusual appearance.

The accompanying story highlights Trump’s role in mediating the Gaza peace deal — a development that brought an end to years of bloodshed between Israel and Hamas. The agreement, signed in Egypt, led to the release of 20 Israeli hostages and nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners.

Despite his criticism of the photo, Trump has often been featured on Time’s cover throughout his career, including when he was named “Person of the Year” in both 2016 and 2024.

As he returned from the Middle East, Trump described the peace accord as “the beginning of an age of faith and hope.” While the world reacts to his diplomatic achievement, it seems the former president’s sharpest commentary is once again reserved for how he’s portrayed in the media.
